A design challenge with a twist: starting from leftover materials.
This project followed an unusual process. The owner is a contractor who had leftover materials from other projects. It was a fun challenge to start the design process with a list of materials to work from.
For instance, the slope of the roof is created from the height difference between the small and larger steel beams. The large sliding doors create an open corner that when closed seamlessly disappears as if it were a solid wall. The storage compartments that line the carport disappear in a similar way.
