Designed as a quiet retreat within town, this home balances privacy with expansive views to the southwest toward Lookout Mountain and north to the North Cascades. The house was designed for a retired couple, including a long-time, highly respected local builder, and the process became a true collaboration.

Together, we focused on using straightforward, familiar building techniques applied thoughtfully to create spaces that feel open, generous, and carefully proportioned. The result is a home that is comfortable and refined without being complicated, combining builder-friendly construction with strong architectural clarity.
