High school students co-designed their own career and technical education facilities.
High school students here in the Methow Valley can now utilize an innovative expansion of career and technical education facilities at TwispWorks. We invited Independent Learning Center students to help with the design — for one term, three interested students spent one day per week in our studio learning about design, modeling, and documentation.
Renovating and expanding the current welding shop, plus building a new 2,000+ square-foot, two-bay automotive tech garage. The new facilities help provide long-term solutions for community challenges: retention of youth talent, labor shortages, and the need for career and technical education opportunities.
